In December of 2015, I experienced a loss—my hero, my dad, passed away. He was not just my father but also my stability in navigating the world of Autism with my son, Levi, who was 5 years old at the time.
Losing my dad felt like losing my compass in the midst of a storm. He attended appointments with me, offered invaluable support, and guided me through my emotions. We shared fears, shed tears, but always found strength to carry on.
Throughout his battle with lung cancer, my dad imparted wisdom and strength. He taught me to embrace challenges with resilience and to trust in God's guidance. His mantra, "StronglikeBull," became my own, empowering me to face life's obstacles head-on.
As I watched him navigate life with grace and fortitude, I learned valuable lessons that shaped my approach to parenting Levi. My dad's courage inspired me to charge through the storms of Autism, finding beauty in every step of the journey.
Though he's been gone for nearly nine years, his legacy lives on in the way I navigate the challenges of Autism parenting. With his spirit guiding me, I continue to find strength, love, and beauty in every moment.
